chi sono

... My name is Barbara Lalita .
I trained in the humanities (Degree in foreign letters to address historical anthropology, MA in international cooperation). I worked several years in international cooperation in cultural development projects with indigenous communities in Central America (as a consultant for UN agencies UNOPS, UNIFEM and president of an NGO based in Nicaragua). As a translator I have translated the Don Quixote by Cervantes for Newton Compton and a book on motherhood 'by Laura Gutman AAM Terra Nuova.

Following an accident I started to devote to the care and listen to the body and spirit in an integrated, holistic experimenting with different disciplines, deepening the predominantly ' ayurveda, yoga the and dance as a means of self-healing and awareness.

"In the universe all things are interconnected. Yoga is the expression of those relationships. " TKV Desikachar

The DANCE has always accompanied my life, first as an instinctive energy, then as a dance studio coded as anthropological research of folk dances of different cultures encountered along the paths of travel, and finally as experimentation and body language, creative movement conscious form of art therapy , dance within.
My research led me to practice different styles of dance and explore different methods of body language.
I trained as a teacher shaktidance , yoga-dance (as well as created and taught by Sara Avtar Olivier), and I'm integrating training in psychomotor rehabilitation, dance movement therapy (Maria Fux method) and Duende Dance in Yummi with Mudra.
As a woman and researcher for several years I am studying and exploring the myth of the Great Mother and female archetypes in order to contact, and awaken the shakti , sacred creative power inherent in every woman . The dance as a form of creative expression of the myth has become a structural element of my research.

The dance for me is prayer, meditation, gratitude, celebration, art, and yoga, integration, and love ... the vibration of God that animates all things ..

The Dance of Life begins in the womb ...
As a woman I embarked on a path of awareness of birth and motherhood. I'm forming as doula (she who is at the service of the mother) following the "revolutionary" French doctor Michael Odent, the Argentine educational psychologist Laura Gutman (of which I have translated the book: The Maternidad y el encuentro sombra with on its own) and other experts in the field of education and birth primal.

I love children and believe in the importance of creating new forms of education and sharing spaces to stimulate their creativity. How insengnante of yoga and dance therapy for children , I promote courses and meetings of yoga and creative dance for children.

I believe in nature, and interdependence of all phenomena in the potential of unconditional love that animates all life, first of all men ...

I was born in Naples, a city that has profoundly marked my temperament and my shakti . I lived several years in Spain and Latin America. I have lived several months in India where I studied the culture vedanta yoga, ayurveda and dance.
currently live and work in Rome and lead workshops shakti dance and creative dance in Italy and Spain.

Thank you giving me your time.

Namaste
